Welcome to the Research Centre for Consumer Law (Forschungsstelle für Verbraucherrecht, FfV)
The aim of the Research Centre is the exploration of consumer law in Germany, as well as in foreign European and Non-European countries. In the same time it is striving to advance the link between science and practical application.
Consumer protection stands for a wide range of topics: Whether it is food, services, Customer data protection, telecommunications, the internet itself or consumer and durable goods - various scientific fields represented at the University of Bayreuth are affected by consumer protection.
Focus areas of the research lie in the handling of consumer data, the adequate handling of information for consumers and the special difficulties regarding services to consumers.
